Who processes your data
Aperture Solar B.V. (KvK 98401923, aperture.solar) processes personal data under the GDPR.
The calculator asks for nothing
You can run a full calculation and read your result without giving us any personal data. If you choose to have the report emailed, we process your email address for that purpose and no other.
Anonymous use of the estimate tool
When you use the estimate tool we record what was modelled: which of our published locations you picked, the array size, the orientation, the pitch, the resulting annual figure and the currency. There is no email address, no postcode, no IP address and no identifier of any kind in that record, and none may be added to it. The location is one we published, not one you gave us. We keep these because "how many people modelled a roof near this city" is the only evidence we have to show an installer before we have any customers, and that question is answerable without knowing anything about anybody. These records are kept in a separate store from anything containing personal data.
Asking to be told about installers
If you give us an email address on the estimate page, we store it along with the area you selected, a summary of what you modelled, and the exact sentence you agreed to. We store the wording rather than a tick, because a tick records that you agreed and only the wording records what you agreed to. We will email you once, if and when installers become available in your area. Your details are not passed to anyone unless you are asked first and agree at that point.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores no cross-site identifier and does not build a profile of you. It counts page views and where in the world they came from. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site: there is nothing to consent to.
Installer contact is opt-in only
Your postcode and contact details reach a regional installer only when you tick the box asking for it. The box is never pre-ticked, and leaving it unticked never withholds your result.
Uploaded bills
Energy bills uploaded to the installer demo are treated as personal financial documents. They are encrypted at rest and used only for the reconstruction test they were uploaded for.
Access and deletion
You can ask to see what we hold or to have it deleted at any time. Email privacy@aperturesolar.com and we will action it within 30 days, and normally far sooner.
